Christmas Cafes for the Oxford Winter Night Shelter

One of the wonderful things about being in Rotary is the way we come together to help members of our wider community.  In this case, it was the Oxford Winter Night Shelter.   We came up with the idea of a Christmas cafe and to hold it in the venue where we normally meet.

We sold cakes and coffee for £2.50  and with the help of the church sold any cakes we had leftover on the following Sunday morning.  Thank you to everyone at St Michaels and All Angels for buying and helping the Night Shelter.

We were also delighted to welcome Roberta a visiting member of a Rotary E-Club in Italy and to catch up on everything her club is doing.   I understand that just over £80 was made for the charity.

Thank you to everyone who ate cake, bought cakes, drank tea and helped to organise the mornings.  It made it a great social event as well.
